ShotThread Privacy Policy

1. ShotThread app: what we do not collect

ShotThread does not require an account. We do not operate an image-upload server for your screenshots or project files. Your ShotThread projects are stored locally in the app sandbox on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

ShotThread does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. Smart privacy scanning runs entirely on your device using Apple Vision — scanned content is not sent to our servers.

2. Information stored on your device

ShotThread stores project data, style presets, and app preferences locally using your device's storage (including UserDefaults for settings). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

• Screenshot images you import into ShotThread projects
• Project layout, themes, annotations, and export settings
• App preferences such as appearance and language

3. Device permissions

ShotThread may request access to your Photo Library when you choose to import images or save exports to Photos. You can deny or revoke this permission in iOS Settings at any time.

ShotThread does not access your contacts, location, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly use a related feature in a future update — the current version does not require these permissions.

4. Purchases

In-app purchases for ShotThread Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may share limited purchase information with us through RevenueCat to verify your Pro entitlement.

5. Support and feedback

If you contact us at hi@codemxm.com, we receive the information you include in your message. If you use the in-app feedback feature, ShotThread may attach diagnostic details such as app version, device model, iOS version, and Pro status to help us respond — only if you choose to send feedback.

6. Website analytics

When you visit shotthread.codemxm.com, we may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible) to understand aggregate page views. This website analytics does not access your ShotThread app data or screenshots.

This website does not use advertising cookies or sell your personal information.

7. Children's privacy

ShotThread is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, please email hi@codemxm.com and we will delete the information.

8. Your rights

Because ShotThread stores your content locally, you control your screenshots and projects directly on your device. You can delete projects within the app or uninstall ShotThread to remove local data.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold from support correspondence. Contact hi@codemxm.com to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to this ShotThread Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of ShotThread after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
